Question 1: Who inspired you to become an environmentalist?
My Father Shri K Suryanarayana who is a staunch believer of nature and its powerful role in our life. Spending time in nature is a healing energy. In every walk in nature one receives far more then he or she seeks.
Question 2: Do you think there are lessons to learn from nature?
Yes of course since our birth it is only nature Air, Water, Land/Soil/Bio-Diversity Fire etc that teaches us to survive. Even this you can find in holly scriptures and in writings of various intellectuals.
Question 3: What is the most important issue facing the environment today?
The increase in population resulted in de forestation to increase agriculture land and accommodation land to fulfill their needs. The era of modern age brought urbanization which created a virtual world and ended the connection of a individual to the nature. Then poverty resulted in beautiful minds to work against nature only to earn their livelihood. Environmental hazard generated a big impact on both people and nature because the funds which could be used to do good for nature are used to re establish a state or area. Global warming increased depletion of water reserves and started melting glaciers. Pandemic explosion like diseases which spread on a large scale and area both effect humans and bio diversity resulting in an imbalance in the nature.
Question 4: How can we protect our environment?
Reduce urbanization, because if we continue to urbanize all the areas then there will be no area left with trees and without trees there will be no oxygen an element without which we cannot exist. Protect nature to strengthen its survival by reducing pollution. Reduce hazard which can affect the environment by taking extra precautions like regular up gradation or repair of critical parts of equipments which may result in hazard. Use green technologies and sustainable development which can strengthen our nature and create a revolution so that everyone takes part in this because joint measure can only save the nature. Make a habit to reduce energy consumption and carbon foot print because most of the energy is generated by burning fuels which pollutes the environment on being burnt.
Question 5: What are the latest technologies which helps environment to get cleaner and healthier?
Local indigenous technologies for energy, pollution control, production and manufacturing etc
Use of source or equipments which generate Renewable Energy .
Reduce dependency on foreign gadgets for monitoring/evaluation and other needs in all the fields of science and technology use simple gadgets which work in basic principles and are robust in working with reasonable QA/ QC.
Question 6: Is there any new policy which government is trying to implement for better environment?
Yes Green Technology and renewable energy use in most of the areas of development and persuasion of government on using pollution control equipments in the areas where pollution is created like industries by imposing certain rules or acts to control the abuse of environment done at industries.
Question 7: would you like to give some message to society?
Reduce consumption pattern and inculcate the idea of giving back to nature/poor what-ever one has gained keeping very limited to oneself.
Protect and uplift poor sections of society so that they can also come forward to strengthen the nature.
Simple living and high thinking is the most important because it will strengthen you to participate in revolution of doing good deeds to others and mother earth.
